Meet the team

Twelve teachers lead classes, from the first recreational class to pre-professional technique. Four of them lead the company track.

    Director

    Shanique directs the studio and teaches the upper levels of ballet. She danced professionally before she taught, and she meets every new family herself at a placement visit.

    Ballet faculty

    Jisun teaches ballet to the Junior Company and Company I, and takes the recreational class for the youngest dancers on Tuesday afternoons. She is known for her patience at the barre.

    Evita teaches jazz and contemporary from Company I to the pre-professional level and sets the choreography for the season's events.

    Kyrie teaches tap and the conditioning classes, and takes the Saturday recreational class for ages 8 to 12.

Before a teacher takes a class

  • Background checks

    Every teacher and front desk team member has had a background check before they work with dancers.

  • CPR and first aid

    Teachers hold current CPR and first aid training, and a trained adult is in the building during every class.
